Mexico, or the United Mexican States, is located in the southern section of North America. The country attracts several tourists because of its beaches, attractive culture, and historical sites. Likewise, Mexico is home to some fantastic dishes, including tacos al pastor and chiles en nogada.

Many consider tacos the most popular Mexican dish globally. The food comprises small corn or flour tortilla with topping, usually fillings such as pork, chicken, beef, steak, or al pastor. The origin of tacos al pastor is traceable to the period Syrian, and Lebanese immigrants arrived in Mexico. To make this meal, people slice thin pork strips off a spit, set them on a corn tortilla, and serve them with pineapple, onions, and coriander leaves.

Meanwhile, chiles en nogada, a replica of the Mexican flag, dates back to 1821. The dish consists of poblano chilies full of picadillo (a combination of chopped meat, spices, fruits, and aromatics) with nogada (a cream sauce that is walnut-based), parsley, and pomegranate seeds. While the picadillo-filled poblano chilies represent green on the Mexican flag, the pomegranate seeds stand for red. Finally, the cream sauce represents white on the flag.
