A Vernon, California-based business leader in textiles and fabrics, David Raminfard has been president and CEO of Kaslen Textiles since 2010 and of New Point Fabric since 2011. When he isn’t working, David Raminfard is an avid hiker who explores the Temescal Canyon area at least twice a week.
Located just west of Beverly Hills, the Temescal area features a number of interconnecting trails. Overlooking Temescal Canyon, the Temescal Ridge Trail is accessed as an offshoot of the Temescal Canyon Trail or the Bienveneda Trail. In addition to offering views of Temescal Canyon, the Temescal Ridge Trail provides scenic vistas of Santa Monica Bay, the San Gabriel Mountains, and the Los Angeles basin. Other highlights of the Temescal Ridge Trail include the iconic Skull Rock, a cliff outcropping the bears a striking resemblance to a misshapen human skull. The independent online hiking resource All Trails recommends a loop that includes portions of the Temescal Ridge Trail along with the Leacock Memorial Trail and the Bienveneda Trail. This loop currently holds a 4.5-star rating based on the evaluations of 98 hikers.
