In his free time, David Raminfard enjoys following the National Basketball Association (NBA).

The 2014 NBA Finals ratings were the lowest in five years, but the league has been experiencing healthy ratings across the board over the past four seasons thanks in large part to the dominance of LeBron James and the Golden State Warriors. An average of 15 million people watched the 2014 NBA Finals, but 20 million watched the following year, when the Cavaliers and Warriors met in the first of four consecutive Finals. That was only the third time the Finals averaged more than 18 million viewers since 2003.

The 2016 and 2017 NBA Finals were viewed by an average of 20.2 and 20.5 million people, respectively, and while those numbers dropped slightly in 2018, the league is still regularly breaking viewership records. During the 2017-18 regular season, viewership was up 8 percent from the prior season and 17 percent on ABC alone. James signed with the Los Angeles Lakers this past offseason, which makes it unlikely that the Warriors and Cavaliers will play in the NBA Finals for a fifth consecutive year, but that hasn't slowed the league's momentum. On October 11, James' Lakers played the Warriors in a preseason game on ESPN, and it was the network's most-watched preseason game of all-time with almost two million viewers.

Beyond his professional pursuits, David Raminfard is an avid traveler and hiker who has spent time in Canada.

Known for its diverse and scenic landscapes, Canada is home to more than 100 national parks. Below are three parks well worth exploring:

1. Gros Morne National Park - Located in the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, Gros Morne is a UNESCO World Heritage Site comprised of numerous mountain ranges. It is a haven for hikers, as it offers a variety of trails with different vantage points to appreciate the breathtaking scenery.

2. Pacific Rim National Park - Located on Vancouver Island, Pacific Rim is divided into three major sections, one of which is a beach that is regarded as one of the best surfing and camping spots in the entire country. Another section, the West Coast Trail, stretches for miles and offers scenic views of the Pacific Ocean. The third section is a collection of small islands.

3. Jasper National Park - This park is the best place in Canada to experience and appreciate the Rocky Mountains. It's the world's second-largest dark sky preserve and also offers multiple hiking and boating opportunities.
