A commercial property manager takes care of non-residential properties such as shopping centers, industrial buildings, storage facilities, and offices. This work for such properties comes with specific issues. Here are some “best practice” tips: -Have a property maintenance plan which encompasses all of a commercial building, including landscaping, plumbing, HVAC, pest control, electrical systems, and replacements. -Maintain the property diligently. A good-looking building is attractive and will keep commercial tenants happy. It will also draw in potential new clients. -Consider significant upgrades occasionally, like repairing light fixtures, repainting, and installing smoke detectors where absent. -Develop procedures for tenant communication. For instance, during an emergency at a property, tenants should know exactly what to do and whom to contact.
