![]() David Raminfard has spent more than eight years as president and chief executive officer of New Point Fabric and KasLen Textiles, both in Vernon, California. When he is not managing his executive responsibilities or sourcing new fabrics from international and domestic trade shows, David Raminfard stays active by hiking at Temescal Canyon Park. Temescal Canyon Park provides hikers with an array of options, including the popular Temescal Canyon Loop. The 3.1-mile loop is ideal for novice hikers or groups looking for a leisurely, scenic trail. Beginning at 15601 Sunset Boulevard, Pacific Palisades, in Temescal Gateway Park, the loop begins on the twisting Temescal Ridge Trail as it ascends the canyon. As the trail progresses, individuals can enjoy scenic vistas overlooking the surrounding canyon and, later, the nearby coastline. Near the 1.5 mile mark, hikers can join with the Temescal Canyon Trail and start their return trip as they descend back into the canyon. The Temescal Canyon trail often resembles a tunnel made of trees and foliage and features a bridge passing a picturesque waterfall. The final mile consists of a gentle slope below the tree line back to the trailhead. The trail is typically completed in about one hour.

![]() David Raminfard is a Vernon, California, entrepreneur who has established numerous textile distribution companies over the course of his career. Outside of leading Kaslen Textiles and New Point Fabric as CEO, David Raminfard is an avid traveler. He has had the opportunity to explore locations throughout Europe and Asia, including Hong Kong. One of Hong Kong Island’s iconic sites, Victoria Peak, has an altitude of 1,811 feet and offers the best all-around view of Victoria Harbor, Kowloon, and the island itself. Accessible via a 120-year-old funicular tram, the viewpoint is best accessed just before sunset, when the scene shifts to one of sheer brilliance as the lights of thousands of high-rises take form against the skyline. The current tourist focus of Victoria Peak belies a history of exclusivity: the area was reserved for European expatriates from the time Hong Kong became a British colony in 1841 until 1947. To this day, the peak contains some of the most luxurious neighborhoods in Hong Kong and is a sought-after residential location for those seeking respite from the urban grid. ![]() David Raminfard, the CEO and president of both KasLen Textiles and New Point Fabrics, leverages more than three decades of experience in the textile industry to provide customers with a variety of drapery and upholstery fabric. In his free time, David Raminfard enjoys traveling to other countries, including Canada. When many people think of Canada, they think about major cities like Montreal and Toronto. However, the country is home to lesser-known cities worth visiting. Here are a few examples: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Although Saskatoon is the largest city in Saskatchewan, it is often overlooked by tourists. Visiting this city grants individuals a variety of rewards, including views of beautiful bridges, fantastic riverside spots, unique neighborhoods, and a healthy dose of history. Beyond that, Saskatoon is great for nature-loving tourists, thanks to its range of hiking trails and skiing destinations. Nanaimo, British Columbia This quirky city is perfect for visitors looking to enjoy a unique nightlife. Not only does the city house plenty of bars, there is a specific Nanaimo Bar Trail for visitors who want to try a pub crawl. Nanaimo also offers plenty of additional attractions, including a bronze statue of the city’s former pirate mayor, plenty of hiking destinations, and a ferry to nearby islands. Fredericton, New Brunswick Home to the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival, Fredericton is a great year-round destination. It features great waterfront views, has a lively pub scene, and the Fredericton Railway Pedestrian Bridge. Tourists can also get a free three-day parking pass by stopping by Fredericton’s city hall before exploring the city. ![]() The recipient of a bachelor's degree in accounting from Tehran, Iran's Institute for High Education in Accounting and Finance, David Raminfard is an experienced entrepreneur who serves as president of New Point Fabrics and Kaslen Textiles. Beyond his professional pursuits, David Raminfard is an avid traveler and hiker who has spent time in Canada. Known for its diverse and scenic landscapes, Canada is home to more than 100 national parks. Below are three parks well worth exploring: 1. Gros Morne National Park - Located in the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, Gros Morne is a UNESCO World Heritage Site comprised of numerous mountain ranges. It is a haven for hikers, as it offers a variety of trails with different vantage points to appreciate the breathtaking scenery. 2. Pacific Rim National Park - Located on Vancouver Island, Pacific Rim is divided into three major sections, one of which is a beach that is regarded as one of the best surfing and camping spots in the entire country. Another section, the West Coast Trail, stretches for miles and offers scenic views of the Pacific Ocean. The third section is a collection of small islands. 3. Jasper National Park - This park is the best place in Canada to experience and appreciate the Rocky Mountains. It's the world's second-largest dark sky preserve and also offers multiple hiking and boating opportunities. |
