A rise in a country’s infrastructural development can have a direct impact on various sectors, such as power, works, real estate, and transportation. The impact of infrastructural development on real estate values is more direct, as an increase in infrastructural development can boost real estate values significantly.
Since infrastructure development projects make a place more livable and improve its desirability, more people will be willing to live and invest in such areas. And this increase in land demands in such areas can trigger a rise in real estate values. This explains why land prices in areas with large infrastructure projects are often rising fast, as real estate owners often anticipate more demand for real estate in such areas. Another common impact of infrastructure development on real estate values is enhanced accessibility. Infrastructural projects, such as the building of new roads, highways, bridges, and modern transportation facilities, can greatly improve the accessibility of an area. Real estate properties in such areas will also begin to experience higher demand as a result.
